This course gives an in depth introduction to the theory and application of TCP and IP technologies used on Network Rail's telecommunications network covering the principles of the OSI 7 layer stack, general IP networking principles including encapsulation, decapsulation and relevant PDU's for each layer. Theory is then applied by building and testing a test network in the practical lab.
